Thoughts on Success and Happiness

This is the Success Club Intl Success Formula.

  1. Goal - Measurable, time limited goal that a 5 year old can understand.  Make a list of 25 important goals and then choose your top 5.
  2. Models - Surround yourself with 5 people that have achieved your goals.
  3. Action - Take regular action towards your top 5 goals with urgency.
  4. Plan - Make a plan how to achieve your top 5 goals.
  5. Review - Look at your goal and actions and make adjustments if necessary.  Avoid anything that does not help you achieve your top 5 goals, especially avoid anything towards the other 20 goals on the first list.
  6. Persistence - Keep trying.  Expect to fail 70% - 80% of the time. Review your goals, take actions and make plans.

This can also be said as "Ready, Fire, Aim" and then repeat.

Success Strategies
  • Motivation - Regularly reinforce "Why" you want to achieve these goals.
  • Add the helpful - Focus on adding positive thoughts and actions as opposed to removing the negative
  • Learn - Take classes, research (for example Google), and ask others questions
  • Copy - Find what others do and try and do the same.  Also called modeling.
  • Body Language - As you use your body, so you will think.  Smile and have big body language
  • One day at a time - Each day is a new start, yesterday does not matter and tomorrow is a long way away.
  • Environment - Find those who have what you want and hang out with them.
  • Service - How can you help others in achieving your goal?

If you set a goal, small or large, and you take regular action towards that goal, that is a proven way to be successful.  This does not guarantee success, it is possible that the actions you are taking are not the proper actions or are not enough to achieve the goal, though I don't know of anyone who has been successful who has taken any other method to get there.  They had some goal and they took some actions that eventually let to their success.
